Spider’s web:

You will need:
white tempera or acrylic paint
marble
plastic spoon and plastic bowl
construction paper (black, white)
square tupperware container
scissors
tape and glue
markers

Place black construccion paper inside tupperware container and using 2 small pieces of tape, secure to bottom of container. Pour smal amount of paint into plastic bowl. Then, using the spoon, place the marble into the bowl of paint and push it around until it is covered with paint. Then, again with the spoon, spoon the marble into the pan on top of the black paper. Next, tilt the pan back and forth so the marble rolls paint across the paper. Use the spoon to remove the marble and place it back in the bowl with the spoon. Leave to dry.
Draw spider with marker on white construction paper, cut out and glue to your spider’s web.

Handprint butterflies

You will need:
construction paper (white, and desired color for butterfly body)
scissors
foam paint brush
paint (desired color for butterfly wings)
glue
wiggly craft eyes
marker

Using foam paint brush, cover both of child’s hands with paint and have them print 2 sets on the white construccion paper. Leave to dry. Cut out butterfly body and glue on wiggly eyes (cut out extra room on sides of body to allow the gluing of the wings). Draw rest of face and other desired details. Cut out handprints and glue to butterfly body. Choose your display preference, with string by making hole at top or simply by putting it up on your display wall/corner etc.
